{ My Footprints } A Vivid Day

Hello my friend, how's Tuesday survival going so far? This time every year in Sydney has always attracted to million of people flushing into the Circular Quay to witness the magic of lights. Honestly, I am never a crowd person, I would normally avoid the crowd as much as I can to avoid being involved in a mad Sardine storm.

Somehow, we had other reasons to happen to be in town, so why not try my new 50mm lens? I know it's not the best lens to capture dark  and far objects but I just want to see the difference between my good old kit lens and it. It's a new stage for me since I got my camera last year and I certainly couldn't get over it.  Below are the photos I too last Saturday and i quite enjoy the subtle difference with the new lens!!

I used the motion technique, half hold the shutter and move along with the sailing boats and it worked a little.

It turn okay in the end. The ferry rocks too much.

This was the very good reason why we were in town. Sadly that will be the last time of the Quay. I am blessed that I could share this experience with loved ones before it's closed.

err...another expresso martini....

Every one is going to one direction, the light!

KIi's favourite

Seriously, it's more like a theme park image when the photos turn out. I guess a video will get better credit

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the day!

{ My Footprints } Taste of Sydney

Hi guys, how's your weekend? Mine was pretty busy and mouthful! We attended a food event held in Centennial park last Saturday, called" Taste of Sydney". It's not really a secret that Andrew and I love cooking and trying out restaurants, tasting some good food and fine wines, especially some nice restaurants have special dishes particularly for this kind of event. Share you guys the pics I took on Saturday, and attention: photos might have some alcohol involved...

This one is my picture of the day!! Love the Scooter!

Also, there are a few points that I love:

1. Bean bags. So every one can just relax and chat while sharing the food and drinks.
2. Decoration. Every shop is different and well prepared, some are very cheeky, and some are very sophisticated. The other part I love is most of the shops used lots green elements to stay refreshing and organic.
3. Drinks. I am not saying I am alcoholic, but some of the brands there were very new to me, and they did a good job to impress me.
4. Our luck(!). Apparently, it rained in the evening and we went to the afternoon session. Lucky us!!

Every venders made so much efforts to impress the guests

I love that Swedish cocktail

Whose legs are these?!!! They are not real human legs by the way...

That cocktail hit the spot in a hot day
There are quite a few surprises as well, look at how Andrew smashed that monkey's arm!!

Oh, you might see Non-human and non-animal there but the alcohol beverage is real!!! Haha I am just joking.  Beside wine tastings, you can also so Japanese sake tasting, all you need to do is just book it!

Finally, share you our toasts with Expresso Martini!!! Have a good week guys!!

{ Chit Chat } Tuesday Movie Night

Hi guys, how's your day been? Today I had a really busy but not so productive day due to my poor coding knowledge and a quick way to forget all about it is go to a cinema. Cinemas in Sydney normally offer pretty mad deal on Tuesdays and this great offer definitely help us pass many helpless Tuesdays. I wonder you guys normally go for the Tuesday deal or it's more a romantic event to you? Anyway, today we watched Dallas Buyers Club and it was inspiring with bit more than just bittersweet. It make you laugh and make you think, tick the boxes so go watch it. It's money well spent and I only paid 20bucks for two. What a bargain!! However, I am not sure how many of you have watched it and I despite spoilers so there's no review here. You have to watch it to find out. (wink! ) This is just a quick chit chat.

Lastly, the reason I am still up is I am trying not to overthink the designing process so I kinda force myself to make a piece of something, so here I am, very sleepy but still trying to make something. That's the image above, please be kind.

Hope you all still survive the weekdays with some joys!!

Speak soon,

xxxAka

p.s. I saw the trailer of  the director Wes Anderson's new work" the Grand Budapest Hotel " (click the name to see the intros )and I am far too excited!! I am such a fan of his movies, always fulfilled with rich retro colours, witty conversations and tons of surprises. I can't wait to see it finally shows in the cinema! LOve the poster too!!! (See below)
p.s.2 I made the buttons. Hooray!

{ My Footprints } A hint of Blue Mountain....

Hello every one! Did you all have a good weekend ? We went bush walking in the Scenic World in Blue Mountains with Andrew's family last weekend and it was absolutely a great experience spending time with family and the nature. Seasons have started revealing their exchanges, so if you have any free time in your hands then go outside and do something fun with it!

Below are the pictures I took on the streets in Leura and Scenic World, Katoomba. I wish that my photography skills can improve soon so that I can present more true beauties to all of you! Any who, life is all about learning, I just need to pace up!!
